TechGrant Pitch Night
Launched in 2005, the TechGrant Program demonstrates Innovation Park’s commitment to supporting the entrepreneurial ecosystem in North Florida. Since the program’s inception, 35 companies have benefited from $562,000 in grants awarded for the commercialization of their technologies. Most of those companies still flourish today in our community.
The TechGrant Program is a competition hosted by the Leon County Research and Development Authority. Once all applications are received, a group of five judges — many of whom are business leaders in Tallahassee — review the applications and judge them based on specific criteria.
The five companies that score the highest are invited to participate in our TechGrant Pitch Night event, when each company presents its business commercialization plan and answers judges’ questions. The top two teams with the highest scores are awarded grants of up to $15,000.
The competition is open to anyone in Leon County and surrounding counties in North Florida who has an original idea for technology commercialization.
