Innovation Park features great programs that promote the community and innovation

Innovation Park is a unique community collaboration among FSU, FAMU, TCC, county, city, and private-sector leaders charged with driving innovation-based economic development to recruit, retain and develop organizations that capitalize on Innovation Park’s distinctive research assets, which are focused on magnetics, aero-propulsion, materials, energy, health, and life sciences.

The mission of Innovation Park is to work in affiliation with these partners to promote our region’s research and development assets, and to foster the attraction, startup, and growth of private innovative companies that create high-wage jobs in Leon County.

Currently, the authority has four primary programs that support this mission:

TechTopics Series

This FREE program is a periodic gathering of community members interested in learning about Innovation Park, researchers & their research, facilities, technology, resources, commercialization, and entrepreneurship.

TechGrant Program

This program is designed to support the development of innovative technology into commercial products or services. By providing up to $15,000 per grant, the LCRDA supports local technology research and development efforts, while fostering economic development in the community. Grant funds are available to existing and emerging businesses on a competitive award basis.

TechForce

TechForce provides valuable advice to early-stage start-up businesses and entrepreneurs in technology as they navigate through the vulnerable stages of business development. TechForce also helps to prepare participants for our TechGrant program. By the end of the TechForce course, participants will have 95% of their TechGrant application complete!
