EEP Class 15 begin October 2nd with New Program Director

Innovation Park of Tallahassee is pleased to announce the upcoming Entrepreneurial Excellence Program will begin on Tuesday, October 2nd, and will be the first class facilitated by the organization’ Director of Entrepreneurship, Michael Tentnowski.

Michael joined the Innovation Park team in January to help develop the highly anticipated hi-tech incubator in the Park. He brings with him over 25 years of experience in helping companies develop their business.  During this time, he has helped more than 1,000 companies; ranging from ostrich farms to nuclear delivery system integrators, grow into successful enterprises.  In addition to helping other companies, he is a three-time entrepreneur himself and co-author of the book, “The Virginia Entrepreneur’s Guide.” He has also been a featured speaker and recurrent presenter to business and industry executives at various conferences.

“The Entrepreneurial Excellence Program is a fantastic seminar series that provides a crash course on the basics for running a business,” stated Michael Tentnowski. “While it covers many general topics, I think the strongest aspect of the program is the mentors you gain when you join the class.  All the instructors provide their contact information, so participants can reach out even when the class is over. I look forward to continuing the program, and bringing in my experience and expertise to help companies in the Big Bend area be successful.”

EEP is an experiential, highly interactive program taught entirely by local business leaders looking to help local entrepreneurs be successful. Since 2011, the program has helped more than 150 startups and early stage companies. While the main purpose of the program is to educate entrepreneurs on the different aspects of running a business; this class is taught solely based on the unique insight and real world experiences of our instructors. Topics covered in the class include funding, business development, team building, intellectual property, marketing and more. The class also helps participants craft an effective elevator pitch and business presentation, which is presented to business leaders.

EEP Class 15 starts October 2nd. The course fee is $300 for two people per company.  Innovation Park is offering $100 off for teams that sign up early.  Fee includes dinner at each class, all course materials, and access to the Entrepreneur’s Club @ Innovation Park. The class is open to anyone, and typically has participants in different business stages, from just thinking about starting a business to being in business for several years.
