~Start-Ups Welcome to Apply to win an up to $15,000 Commercialization Grant in TechGrant Competition~

 

Innovation Park of Tallahassee is pleased to announce the annual TechGrant Program is now open and accepting applications. This prestigious competition awards two start-up companies in Leon County a total of $25,000 to aid in the commercialization of their technology.  The deadline to submit an application is March 2, 2020.

On Monday, February 3 at 4:00pm, an orientation for the TechGrant competition will be held in the Collins Building Seminar Room in Innovation Park (2051 E. Paul Dirac Drive, Tallahassee, FL 32310) to discuss the application, selection process, and answer any questions. All those who plan to apply are strongly encouraged to attend this session. The competition culminates at the main event, TechGrant Pitch Night being held at the Goodwood Museum and Gardens Carriage House on Thursday, May 20, 2020. During the event, five finalists will pitch their idea to a panel of judges, and audience members will also cast their votes to help determine the winners of this year’s competition.

Launched in 2005, the TechGrant Program represents Innovation Park’s commitment to support the entrepreneurial ecosystem and the incredible technology being developed in our own local community. Since its inception, the competition has awarded 27 different companies a grand tVince Macri of NeuroJungle won the first prize of the TechGrantotal of $462,000 to help push them to the next stage in their development.  Many of the previous winners have gone on to successfully commercialize their technologies in Tallahassee.
