Located in the research park’s Collins Building at 2051 E. Paul Dirac Drive in Tallahassee, the 23,000-square foot facility will offer one of a kind space with education, mentoring and other support for start-ups and second stage businesses looking to commercialize new technologies in Tallahassee. Included in the JumpStart Technology Incubator will be wet labs, dry labs, makerspace/ prototyping equipment and space for light assembly/ manufacturing.
This unique incubator in Innovation Park of Tallahassee will be in close proximity to several world-class research facilities including the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, High Performance Materials Institute, Florida Center for Advanced Aero-propulsion (FCAAP) and many more. The incubator is also located minutes away from Florida State University, Florida A&M University and Tallahassee Community College. It will offer an unmatched opportunity for collaboration and access to research and development resources.
According to Entrepreneur Magazine, Tallahassee is one of the top cities in the country for Entrepreneurs, and only one of three cities in the state of Florida on the list. This new addition to the ecosystem will provide more business creation opportunities, especially for high-tech companies which want to start or grow in Tallahassee and create high wage jobs for our community.
The development of the incubator and its program is currently in the planning phase, and a 10-member committee has been created to steer the project. Click here to view the current committee members. Check back soon for more updates!
